Well we use a hand held can opener.  We don't own a dishwasher coffee maker, or a microwave, and don't intent to purchase them.  Our old ford truck has the crank handles for the windows.

Our kids make Christmas decorations our of construction paper instead of the boxes of store bought ornaments. We have old glass bottles and mason jars for drinking glasses. Yeah we're just a little bit country.  ;)

I still want my vehicles plain Jane with no earrings. No electric do dads that will cost as much as a new engine to fix when they break. I'm told that new trucks almost all have auto trannys now. If that's the case then my Ol' Dodge will just have to do me for the rest of my days.

We have a second place where I garden. Still have an outhouse over there, but I can't say as how I really prefer that to indoor plumbing when the thermometer dips.

I like these much better than the newfangled paper ones...

My motorcycle is a 1982, air-cooled inline four with carbeurators, that's pretty old school. Cast iron cookware of course, along with shaving soap.  Too many old hand tools to mention, some from my father, some from my grandfather, some from flea markets.

...that would be considered obsolete (and are not used regularly) by most people today? Things that have been largely replaced by new technology, but are still useful to you or your family in day-to-day life. I can think of a few at my house:

1. 50 year old dial phone.

2. Flint & fluid lighters

3. 60 year old Singer sewing machine

4. 50 year old Frigidaire (2nd fridge in the garage)

5. 70 year old hand-crank ice crusher

6. Non-electric hand drills

Just curious what other folks use... For some reason, I like using 'old tech' stuff if it's still somewhat practical.

Here is one I keep around, but as you can see I've never used it.......My wife "Holding her nose" say's I should >:(
This bar of soap was made around 1920 something "I think" About the time Palmolive merged with Peet co.

This soap is even older than me! "WOW"

yeah, its a stinkin' black walnut cracker. My tree in the backyard puts off about 100 gal unhulled every year and this think makes it easier to supply my mom with those HTG nuts. Personally my Texas inertia pecan cracker does it for me,as I love 'em. Also, to the original post, my old circular cabbage chopper is used weekly, cast iron pan and dutch ovens . Don'cha have some fine shooting instruments that have faithfully served you for...20...30...40+ years? I have some old canning and preserving tools that will outlast me.

Oh boy! Kerosene lamps, cast iron pots, pans, dutch ovens, cast iron wood cookstove with a warming oven on top and a water tank on the side. Old Towne canoe, pack basket, cabin in the woods w/o electric. 16# maul, home made table, couch, rope bed, flint and steel, wingbone turkey call, kitchen matches, canning jars, still, maple syrup equipement, CB radio, hand crank meat grinder, hand crank coffee mill, stone grinder, burr grinder, corn sheller, peavey's, axes, 45-70, snares and traps, and a library with over 160 books, just to mention a few.
I'm 75 and some of the items were hand me downs.
