I just traided with a friend, I received a Blue with walnut stocks Encore rifle . 2 barrels a 300 win mag heavy barrel and a 45/70 with sights. The rifle looks new and has a good triger.  What I want to know is how durable are they, the action mostly. I am going to buy a 300 wisper barrel for it just to have fun with.

Durability is not going to be a problem - 'or at least it never has been mentioned.  Besides, it comes with a lifetime guarentee and excellent customer service from the factory.  Now, you can just concern yourself with enjoying it and playing.....the Encore is an excellent weapon and I am sure it will serve you well.

Only problem I've heard/seen was when a gentleman had a custom barrel made in .460 Weatherby.  The Action exploded into pieces.  Stay with the factory barrels or with a gunsmith that specializes in TC products such as Virgin Valley Custom Guns or Bullberry or OTT and you enjoy a lifetime of good shooting.

Thanks for the help, I am sure to ask more questions when I get time. These 12 hour shifts shure have hurt my hunting. :D
