Cabela's Pine River Lever Action Rifle Scope
« on: December 29, 2010, 04:32:30 AM »
Has anyone had any experience with this scope?  I've seen mixed reviews all the way from 'great rifle scope' to ' POS'.  Seems that those who get a good one really like it and those who don't, hate it.
Thanks for the stump

At least with cabbalas if you have a problem I believe they stand behind what they sell.  ;D

Why go out on a limb.  There are lots of good, proven, reliable brands to choose from.

Yeah I'd rather spend a bit more and not have to gamble.

With the price of ammo these days it would probably pay to go with a reputable scope. By the time you finally figure out the scope is bad, plus the Postage, plus the re-mounting costs, plus more ammo to line it in....could amount to a good chunk of change...

Don't do it! I bought a Cabela's Pine Ridge scope and it couldn't handle the recoil of a 223 H&R. The good news is that Cabela's took it back, no questions asked.

I understand that Cabela's has different grades of scopes they make, but Pine Ridge is the only one I know about. I believe it's there lowest grade scope though.

Good luck, KP
