scoping the Rossi lever action

How many of you scope your Rossi lever action rifles? It looks like you can buy a scope rail that replaces the rear sight? Is that what most people use? Thanks, Charlie

While I personally wouldn't upset the light weight & easy handling of my Rossi M92's by mounting a scope, Rossi HAS prepped the M92 these last few years for an Intermediate Eye Relief (IER/Scout) scope via drilling, tapping & plug screwing the barrel (3-4 holes) under the long leaf of the rear sights for thier own scout mount base.

Any M92, not so prepped, would of course need to be D/T'd for either the Rossi Scout base or an XS LeverScout base.

Thanks Ranger so If I bought a new gun it should be ready right? I noticed that Buds sells the scope rail for the 92. Thanks again. Charlie
