Take the hide and soak it in water for about 3 days if warm 4-5 if  cold. Take the hide out, stretch it and scrape it clean of tissue and hair. You have enough rawhide for several projects. Just cut it, soak it and form it. Tuff as nails for liners or use it for lamp shades and  decorated coasters.   The leg bones make knife handles also.
Deer hunting is mostly fun then you shoot one and it turns to work.

My wife had me nuttered years ago and wont tell me where she hid them [ think she may have fed them to the dog ].
