Just wondering what the consensus opinion is on cleaning the 17 HMR. Since the predominant ammunition is copper jacketed, do most of you treat this caliber like a larger caliber center fire rifle? Generally with my 22 rimfire rifles, I tend not to be very aggressive with bore cleaning, since there is no risk of copper fouling. I guess this actually translates into shooting a larger number of shells compared to a center fire rifle before my rifles see a cleaning rod. Been shooting a CZ 17, that is scary accurate, and would like to keep it that way. Thoughts??
