Thumbhole stock ??

I like the looks of the laminated thumbhole stock, being new to the handi's I have never had the chance to handle one . Just wondering if they are suited for quick hunting (e.g. deer) shots or mostly for varmit/target use.

Personally, I love the looks but must admit, I think they are better suited for target Varmint than deer hunting. Its not so quick to get to the hammer.

But they feel and handle great otherwise...

I recently have picked up two handi-grip stocks. These have a much larger thumb hole allowing for faster hammer acquisition. Not as pretty or as comfortable but ergonomically better...
