The first problem is just being awake at midnight. Of course I could just take a pic around 7PM and ya'll would never know the difference.

Firing from the deck of a friends house tonight @ midnight. Not sure if anyone there can handle my DSLR on a tripod for long exposures.
Plus the fact everyone there will be a little tipsy

A very stout, old salute gun, 0.77" bore, 120gr FFg and a single sheet of my kids notebook paper. That is a video capture shot from a tripod next to it. I was no where near it. Did about a dozen salutes over New Years.
