Going to need more info to respond:
Caliber?
Velocity (est.)?
Use of cartridge (hunt, target, plinking)?
Current load?
Cast boolets typically come with lube or are purposefully lubed so the boolet "slides" down the lands and grooves fully lubricated rather than the "friction burn" as unlubed. lubalox is one such lubricant for cast boolets. Most caliber rifles and handguns will shoot cast boolets. Most can be reloaded to shoot well.
I am unaware of jacketed bullets with lube rings. However, I have not been casting boolets very long, although I have been a reloader of several calibers for a very long time.
