This is a pistol grip type stock.  I do a lot of jump hunting in heavy stuff, and my ML'er is a stand gun.  I just wonderd if anyone had an opinion or used this weapon in the field and thoughts of getting one? I like ythew look and I like synthetic stocks. I am brand new to slug guns but like pump rifles (use in PA) and shotguns. Advice is appreciated.

I don't have that exact model but I do slug hunt with an 870.  They are great guns.  Try Hastings 2 1/2 inch magnum laser accurate slugs in it as well as lightfield hybrids.  They are very accurate slugs out to 100yds, maybe a little further.  You will probably find that 2 3/4 slugs are more accurate than 3 inch slugs.  I would not bother with the faster slugs like the hornady's and rem accutips unless you are planning to be shooting out past 120 yds with it.  If you are strictly jump hunting with it, I would suggest a red dot site.  If you are going to take shots out past 75 yds, get a low variable power scope for it like a 1-4, 1.5-6, or 2-7 power.

JimFromTN , I had no idea how heavy these guns are until I started lifting them to my shoulder. This is a new experience to a rifle and ML hunter. Thanks

I see this is an old post.  Did you buy the gun?  I just got mine home and have not shot it yet.  If you bought it what slugs did you find to work the best?
