I put CT's on my wife's model 15 and she loves them!  I think the red laser is somewhat hard to see in bright daylight though.  I have a friend who has a laser guide rod in a Glock and that is the way I would go for CC, I'd also be tempted to go with the green laser for more visibility.  This is from fairly limited experience though, take it for what it's worth. ;D

I have Crimson Trace grips on several of my handguns and feel they are the best option. The laser activation switch is intuitively placed so that it takes no additional thought to turn it on. I wouldn't give up mine.
Perception is everything. For instance, a crowded elevator smells different to a midget.

I put CT's on my S&W 686.  They're really great....no experience with Laser Max.  My experience with a green laser is limited , however, the one I used was very difficult to see in daylight.  The red isn't a lot better , but in my opinon , it is better.  And both ( of course ) are excellant in dim light situations.

I just sold a G27 that had the Laser Max guide rod, nice and bright, it actually shot 3" higher than the laser. Laser Max guarantees that it will shoot center but the up/down is not adjustable.

Another vote for the Crimson Trace.  Have the laser grips in my Kimber Ultra, and one on my Ruger LCP.  Both are effective in less than bright sun light, easy to sight in, and hold their sight settings.  About a year and a half, 1500 rounds on the Kimber, and the same with maybe 300 rounds in the Ruger with no issues, and still the original batteries.  I have not seen a laser yet that is truly effective outdoors in bright sun light.  With the Lasermax, the guide rod model is not adjustable to your sights, and the model that attaches to the Picatinny mount under your barrel requires a special holster.  The Crimson Trace model snaps onto the backstrap of your grip, allowing you to use most normal holsters, and is activated instinctively with your fingers when you squeeze the grip.
