Checking [again] to see if anyone ever purchased one of these for the Contender, rifle or pistol barrel?

I have had a couple.  One was a Bullberry carbine barrel.  It was fun for a long time but I guess I lost interest because it went away.  The other is a TCA 10" barrel that keeps moving between my keep and trade piles.  It's in the trade pile now since I got a NAA mini revolver in 22 Short.

Did you ever find any really accurate ammo for the Bullberry barrel? I've found a few Winchester bolt action [Model 56] rifle chambered for 22 SHORT [only]. The idea of a 22 SHORT chambered barrel is interesting to me and a very few freinds. The Winchester barrels engrave the bullet of a round when chambered, for best available accuracy. I've seen the 22 SHORT MATCH T/C Contender barrels offered  before and wondered how few were purchased. I've got a 22 SHORT Redman liner waiting for 'something' to install in.
The few freinds that have built 22 SHORT barrels have pretty much said they cannot find any ammo that gives good accuracy, at least nothing like L.R. ammo, even at 50 yards.

There is no 22 Short ammo available that will match 22 lr ammo.  I had pretty good success with CCI HP ammo after sorting by rim thickness (half inch groups at 50 yards).  And that is about the max range for accuracy.  It really falls apart by 75 yards.  The 22 Short is limited by the ammo even more than 22 lr ammo.
