How does the 204 ruger do in the 15" barrels?  I've noticed more factory offerings lately (I don't reload).

VERY LOUD!!!  I have no actual experience with one, but was close enough to a 204 handgun barrel at the range one day to cure me....and I own several that are rather loud...but not like that thing.  Should be outstanding in a Contender Carbine though. :o

Check out ballistics... I have an 18" 204 MGM barrel on the way.  After shooting my M44 Mosin Nagant I can't see this being ALL that loud comparatively.  Should be a nice laser beam flat shooter out to 200-250yards.

Well I kind of expected it to be less loud than the others because of the smaller case, so thanks for the info.  Would you say it's louder than the 223 in 15"?

That's probably splitting hairs... depends on the weight bullet and powder used.  You looking for louder or not as loud?  204 out of a TC pistol is not my first choice for making a bunch of noise.  :D 8)  If you are worried about noise just put in plugs.
