I am not sure if they looked at the rolls or if they just tried to bully you.
What gets me, why does the union want you to vote democrat.
Everything the democrat party stands for is opposed to union work.
It was Southern democrats like Al Gore Sr that was against the unions and organized labor.
The Democratic party is against building, shipping, minning, and manufacturing with their rabid envirmental wing.
I understand your reluctance to stand up to the union thugs, and maybe next cycle you should go register as a democrat to keep your job, and vote how you want.  Heck in the primary you may even have a chance to reailgn the democratic party from left of Lennin to somewhere near the middle.

Here in Wisconsin, I don't have to register as a dumbocrap or a republican, in fact at the last presidential primary, I might have voted for Hilliary just because I knew she would be easier to beat than Zero.

I don't have a clue why the unions want you to vote democrat and I let them know what I thought of it, too.   I don't have a clue why ANYONE would want to vote democrat, as far as that goes.   The fact of the matter concerning our manufacturing companies moving out of the USA, and the deficit, is that it was caused by CONGRESS!   Vote them all out every election until they figure out that they work for us, and not their blood-sucking "party".

Do you know why Bush paid off the banks for laundering his lobby money just 30 days before the presidential election.   He knew that every republican "fence rider" would vote democrat after that farce.  Heck he threw the election to Zero singlehandedly.   Why??
Vote them all out, EVERY election!

Does anyone remember the scene from "Quigley Down Under" showing the aborigines lined up on the skyline as far as you could see?   That needs to be US!

Not all jobs were exported due to unions, but the unions were the main cuilprit.  I recall very well a couple of the major job producers in my state 3-4 decades ago..
  1) Bethlehem Steel;  I knew people who were employees of Bethlehem Steel who boasted that they did almost nothing all during their shift..maybe flip a couple switches, then play cards, read a book and have the oncoming shift wake them up. The union shamefully, protected them in this. Perhaps if each employee had done a full days work, there may have been 15,000 employees rather than 22,000...but they would probably still be working...here in the US.
 2)  Then there was Trico..the windshield wiper people. It was back in the 70s or 80s..I can't recall the actual figures, but union employees there were making on the average, let's say $13.50 per hour plus bennies, when they jumped up and demanded $22.00.  After much haggeling, the union would not give up it's demands.  In all sincerity, Trico management said:    "We can go to $15.50 ... if you can accept that.. otherwise, we will have to close the doors".
The union rejected the offer..the doors were closed next morning, and are still closed today; and Trico is being manufactured elsewhere.
Intransigence can be fatal; ..remember the air traffic controllers..PATCO ?  Somebody should have learned from that experience !

  GRIM:
Next time show the union thugs a curve.  Register as an independent and let them guess..but never let them know.  ..And they should never know, unless they get the "card check" thing passed into law..
If you don't want the truth, don't ask me.  If you want something sugar coated...go eat a donut !  (anon)

Bush did not throw the election, stupid people voting for Obutthead did. Obutthead was telling the people what he was going to do, yet they were so dumb, they did not listen to what he was saying.. All they wanted was CHANGE, well now the have the change and they don't like it.. I can tell you one thing, I did not vote for the Kenyan liberal POS.  But the Unions were backing him to the end, and still do.. Why?? They are paid back ten fold for there votes and support.
