BTW, there's been no message traffic in DOD about this order. It is already in the standard emergency preparedness orders as a possible scenario, along with all manner of worst case scenarios. But nothing specific yet.
I get the feeling some folks forget that our military, the US military, is all volunteer, with an average age of 25 who miss their families terribly most of the time and its a small percentage that do more than one enlistment. This typical volunteer is your child or grandchild, that shares your same values, fears, priorities. The rank and file military person would react like a civilian if word spread for us to brace for food riots. There'd be a run on the Commissary/PX; burning up the phone lines to family & friends ... for the overwhelmingly most part, we are citizens like everyone else.
