good for the people who beat him.    they are right to attach the "reporters"; all they are doing is trying to meddle in affairs that are none of their business.   evidently the egyptians are smarter than they gave them credit for.

you see it time after time, these parasites decend on events and try to sway public opinion to suit their slanted view of how things should be.   someday soon, the press should be given some of the same treatment here.

i have about as much sympathy for reporters as i do politicians.

These goobers have no business over there. They stick their noses in some place where they dont belong and then act all indignified when they get b!tch slapped. Just leave those animals to murder each other in privacy I certainly dont care. As long as they are busy killing each other that just leaves them less time to come and try to kill us and the more of each other they kill all the less left over to try and kill us. I am so sick of seeing these people spouting their hatred all over the evening news. I saw one last night screaming to the reporter "WE HATE YOU!" Reporter:"Why do you hate me?" Animal:"WE HATE YOU BECAUSE YOU AMOOOLICAN!"

Well guess what Achmed? I HATE YOU TOO!

Speaking of sticking one's nose into someone else's business. The United States Government has been sticking their noses into Egypt's business to the tune of about 1 & 1/2 billion dollars a year, for 30 years to prop up this dictator, and his army. He helps the U.S. government but, never mind what he did to the 80+ million citizens of that country. By the way taxpayer. You furnished the money to stick their noses into their business.
It's called nation building, and the building was poorly built, but you helped build it with your money, and your vote, and your complacency, and your apathy, and your ignoring of, or failure to pay attention to the FACTS.
The Ronald Reagans, the George Bushes, Jimmy Carters, Bill Clintons, GW Bushes, Obamas, McCains, that everyone supported all participated, and now are shucking themselves of the dictator we as the voting taxpayer helped create.
If you were an Egyptian right now, you would not be on your computer makin joke about foreign reporters gettin their asses kicked. You would be worried about you, and your family's safety, and where you were going to get your next meal. But before it's over, YOU and O may get our chance to face the same thing the Egyptian is now facing, for all of the same above mentioned reasons.

Never in the past nor ever in the future will I cast a vote with the best interests of the average Egyptian in mind.If that implies my guilt well then guilty as charged.

And as for the U.S. Government sticking it's nose in other nations' business I couldnt agree more. The US has no business outlining a plan for Mubarak's departure. GW Bush had no business going on television and instructing Sadaam Hussein and his sons to leave Iraq or face attack. We are long overdue for a top to bottom regime change in this country. There is plenty going on here that requires taxpayer dollars without sending money to religious zealots that hate and desire to kill us.
Hi NSA! Can you see how many fingers I am holding up?

lakota, my entire point is based mostly on APATHY. We have (I included) in the past voted the lessor of two evils, or used the goofy logic of "name recognition" to cast our votes. We seldom if ever checked into the foreign affairs stance that each candidate had. The middle east hates us, and has every right to do so. Look what we have financed our leaders to do to them via dictators. Saddam Hussein was educated to be a dictator via George Bush Sr., then head of the CIA, at the "School of Americas" at Ft. Benning Ga. "YOU" and "I" are as guilty as anyone for not paying attention, and letting someone else run our business. We both vote, and we both pay taxes, and deny if you will any guilt, but we collectively will pay for our apathy at such goings on.

I for one, feel sorry for Cooper. Doesn't matter what news outfit a reporter might be working for, but, my sympathy only goes so far.
He's a reporter, and if he thinks that gets him walk from being in a dangerous spot, he better think again. He better expect things like this can, and do happen. He ought to be thankful they didn't wak his head off.
Remember when during the first Gulf war, and the news teams where running around with the lights and camera's lighting up troops that were moving in. Their just lucky they didn't get tagged by friendly fire!!
For Cooper just getting beat up alittle, bring him back down to the real world for awhile. gypsyman

I saw a video of Anderson after the event.
He was talking about having people punch him in the face and he did not have a mark on him.
When ever I have hit someone or been hit good (even by my buddy's 4 year old I was showing how to box and he hauled off and hit me on the edge of my eye and I had a red mark for almost a month) have left marks.
So either the egyptians hit like school girls with pillows for fists or he made up the story.
I also would not put it past the Brother hood to send out people to cause havoc saying they were Government supporters.

i personally love it when these reporters get caught in it.     the media has gotten entirely too brave and they are granted entirely too much access to our guys.     many times, they put our people at risk.
i got no sympathy for any of them.    the media is just out to try to lead the masses to their way of thinking.    reporting died a long time ago.

Well said Dee.
It is no wonder that they don't like us. People everywhere just want to be free. The chain on their necks has been propped up by our government. The Internet is making it known to them that they can have a better life when they see people from free countries. It is my understanding that the goons that beat Cooper up were government police. Obviously, they did not want media coverage that would inspire the revolutionaries. It will spread! Liberty is a natural desire. A few ruling over the many may one day be only in history.

The people of Egypt are fighting gov't tyranny. GOOD FOR THEM!

How soon would our debt shrink if we no longer subsidized some of these rats nest of nations. Uh-huh, iran was a good investment, egypt was a good investment, the phillipines was a good investment, etc, etc. Might compare that to loaning people money for houses that can't afford to pay for them. Seems to create problems for no return. Yep, America's gooberment needs to butt the heck out.

Yes and NO.
We may have an uprising that is fighting one form of tyranny only to install a worse form.
In Iran in October of 1978 the crowds were fighting the tyranny only to have the best standard of life in the region at the time replaced buy a backwards thinking dictatorship.
And with all of the countries we send aid to..... None of it ever helps us.  Most take our money and then use it to blame us for their problems.  Do we ever get praised for the humanitarian work that is done.  All of the aid that pours from the US to famine, floods, earth quakes, war zones.  NO.  Liberalism (Communist, socialist, envirmentalist) and Political correctness have weakened us.  handing out a reate to different countries that bought our goods in the form of aid made sence.  Now that the liberals have made it so we no longer make anything here, we no longer are handing out a rebate to a country to upgrade their infrastructure, to create more jobs for us and them.  At the same time we send Billions over seas for their infrastructure while ours is crumbling.

As much as I blame ourselves for allowing our government to roam all over the middle east playing god, I do not think for one second that the Muslim Egyptian will form anything even close to a free democracy. They WILL HOWEVER FORM another Iran given half the chance. A Muslim, is a Muslim, is a Muslim. You can put a collar on a coyote, and name him Spot, but he'll still steal your chickens.

I have a very good friend from India. He is Hindu. This is his feelings about Muslims. He said and I quote " I would rather have a Christian enemy than a Muslim friend." He grew up among Muslims so what he says has some validity.

Looks like a cross between the Blair Witch Project and a Nike commercial.  Lotsa shaking and feet, and when the camera pans to Cooper he claims to have been hit 10 times.  Musta been by sissies because no one tagged him good.

Thanks for posting it but I think that the poor cameraman had other things on his mind.LOL
