.375 JDJ Barrel W/Scope value
« on: January 22, 2011, 01:57:01 PM »
Any ideas on the value of an SSK stainless barrel in .375 JDJ? It is 14" with the Mag-Na-Port and the T'SOBbase and rings. Also comes with a Leupold 4X scope and reloading dies. The whole outfit is in very good condition. I have a friend who is thinking about selling...thanks for any info.

I would say between $500 and $600 for the whole thing together, if it's in really nice shape.

That's a great package.

You don't give enough credit to how well SSK barrels hold value IMO Chris, and as you know I've owned and resold a bunch of SSK barrels.   A seller certainly doesn't need to discount either them or a Leupold scope 50% when used if still in great condition.     I wouldn't sell that package for $500-600 no matter what, and not even approaching that low unless it is in well used condition that really shows it.

Do the math on new prices today... almost $1100... then discount for its honest condition and the useage you got out of it to come up with a fair asking price.
$450 barrel
$100 T'SOB (if its a quarter rib, $150 if full length)
$125+ Break
$350 Scope
$70 Dies
