FINALLY the range thawed out
« on: April 12, 2011, 03:07:19 PM »
The nice temps we have "finally" had lately have thawed and dryed out the shootin range. I took up several rifles. But I really and finally wanted to see what the H&R .22 MAG sporster was capable of. That Barska 4x16x40 AO scope I had mounted is the cats yu-hoo. I started at 50 yds and moved up to 100 cuz 50 was too easy. At 100 yds and 20 rds later there was no paper where the bull was. AND the best part was I had forgot the good CCI ammo at home and did this nice accuracy with the cheapest .22 mag I had found - Armscor 40 gr jhp. The geese and ducks were flyin over so there must be open water someplace. Spring has finally sprung.

Ah.....spring is in the air and a young man's fancy turns to......
Dont try the new high velo/light bullets loads or you will have to have different sight settings.
Too much trouble for me, just get another one to use those in  ;).
