As far as needing sharpening I would bet they would outlast steel, as long as they didn't strike stone or bone. The ceramic knives boasted as how they would go forever without dulling. The problem was they could not tolerate any sort of prying or twisting without breakage.
I would go with breakage before dulling especially on an arrow point.
