Inherited a Lady Smith
« on: February 06, 2011, 02:19:33 AM »
Was given a like new condition Lady Smith .38 snubby yesterday from a recently deceased aunt's estate. When I shot it I was surprised and pleased that I could hit a 3x4" metal reactive target with it out to about 20 yards using a two hand hold more often than not. One question. I assume that she bought it new but I do not know that for sure. I am wondering if this revolver has had a trigger/action job? I have owned a model 10 in the past and I would say that the double action trigger pull on the Lady Smith is quite a bit lighter and smoother than the model 10 was, I am not sure how it could be better. In single action mode the trigger does not have any creep or drag and breaks like glass with what I would guess is three pound or less pressure. In fact the trigger weight feels about the same as my Savage accutrigger does. Looks like I got a good one.

I too inherited one when my Mom passed away. Very sweet shooter and doesn't take up much room in your pocket. It rides with me in the truck and then in my vest pocket when I'm on my bike. Mine likes the big 180 gr cast rambling along at about 800 fps.
