handgun deer kill

After a long stalk I managed to connect with this big spike at 60 yards with my S&W 6" 686 .357 mag.

But its too little! Only a 357! And those bullets dont even expand! How can you expect something like that to kill a deer? Just kidding! Good shooting and congrats. I like a hard cast bullet.

Congratulations!  That's Awesome!  I'd love to hear more details about the stalk as well as details about bullet performance.

Glad to be reading this! I'm getting ready to purchase a .357 magnum revolver with a 6" barrel. Plan on using it for deer if the opportunity arises.

Nice deer . I'm glad to see someone else shooting a 357 handgun for deer hunting. My 4 inch 686 has been putting deer in the freezer for years.

Congratulations on the buck!  I've killed a good many deer, but have yet to shoot one with a revolver.  I have a Super Blackhawk .44 magnum and a GP100 .357 magnum.  If I knew I had to kill a deer with a revolver, at this time I would choose the GP 100 simply because I can shoot it better than the SBH.  Neither has a scope.
