i am considering getting one of these want to know what you all think of them and am having trouble finding barrels for them like a rifled slug barrel or a longer field barrel if anyone can help with where to buy them or do they have to be fit and personal experience with this gun.

I have a Pardner Protector and no problems what so ever.  It is a very well made shotgun.

I don't have one, but I've done some research on it, barrels can be bought from H&R if they have any, toll free (866)776-9292, which they haven't for quite a while, but that can always change, they don't make a 20ga slug barrel or gun that I could find, just 12ga.  The PP is an 870 clone, some 870 parts and accessories will fit, unfortunately, barrels don't, but you can buy the barrels OTC if you can find them. H&R was out of scope rails for it for a long time also.

they are great guns, accessory barrels for the 20ga are non existant, 12ga are a little bit better, it took me 1 year to find a 18.5 police barrel on gunbroker and 3 years to find a 24" rifled slug barrel w/ sights at a local gander mountain, i believe they have a few left so if anyone wants the store location and phone number shoot me a pm, you should be able to call em an have it shipped to you

I bought one of the turkey pumps, great gun. It has the front and rear fiber optic sights, which also work well with slugs. I bought the longer barrel (from HR)for it so I could use it for waterfowl. It's built like a tank, perfect for ducks and geese!
