.50 Beowulf AR/15
« on: December 19, 2003, 05:53:15 PM »
Wow, I recently saw an add in Cabelas for a .50 Beowulf top end for an AR/15 and I really want one. But at $25 a box for ammo, if I were t get one I'd definatly want to reload. Does anyone know where .50 Beowulf die sets are available?

Hey 444,
Have you checked out the 458 SOCOM? I had an upper built from Tony @ Tromix. Ammo available from corbon, brass from Starline and dies from either Lee or CH4D. I have a Rem 300 HP going 1900fps from a 16" barrel(45/70 from a semi-auto)! Shot a small whitetail spike from 30 yds......went 10'....the last 5' he was dead skidding!!
Cheers,
Dave

DR.
I've heard of the .458 SOCOM but I didn't know it could be had in an AR upper. I'll have to check that out. Thanks for the info.
