I just bought a beautiful Savage Model 99 and would like to find out it's manufacture date. I think the gun was customized after manufacture but looking inside, I can't see any evidence that it was ever fired. The dealer I got it from said he thought it was made in the teens. Can someone direct me to a web page that can help me out here?
