ALL TC OWNERS - NEWS and a WARNING!
« on: February 13, 2011, 07:29:53 PM »
Evolution at work. Over two million years ago the genus Homo had small cranial capacity and thick skin to protect them from their environment. One species has evolved into obese cranial fatheads with thin skin in comparison that whines about anything and everything as their shield against their environment. Meus

I would expect the value of T/C products to maybe go down.  First of all, I think Remington is now owned by some company based in Europe.  Secondly, the T/C "lifetime" warranty we've come to expect may no longer be any good.

I'm thinking you are right, not good.

I have trouble believing that news-------S&W just paid $100 Million for T/C less than 5 years ago. They are in the process of moving the NH operations to Mass. as we speak.

I have the same feeling of disappointment as I did after I bought my first rifle in the early 90's, a used TCR '83, only to see production of TCR barrels through the custom shop ceased some years later.  Well at least there are a lot of 2nd hand barrels and parts out there for Encores and Contenders.

I can easily believe it.  It's very common for companies to buy what they feel is a bargain and then sell the parts they don't need so it's even more of a bargain.

Rems owners, CEREBUS, are not Euro's! They are a collective of very wealthy AMERICANS who are mostly vets. I don't care for Rems current lack of QC and CS so I'm no fanboy of Rem but for God's sakes get the facts correct.

It's Cerberus ...

A private investment company with wealthy and ex high ranking political figures like John Snow and Al Gore to name a couple. Companies they have also owned: Burger King, Chrysler LLC, GMAC Finance. We saw how Chrysler went under their ownership and refusal to put more than 5% of their assets into any one of their holdings.
