22-250 and 60 grain bullets

what is the heaviest bullet anyone has tried in the rossi rifle with success. Was thinking about the 60 grain hornady or the 64 grain win pp. Knowing it has a 14 twist what has worked for you.

Deerhunter,

My CZ with 14" twist shot 45 gr Winchester white box factory loads the best. 50-55 gr shot ok but anything heavier really began to open up the groups. Generally a 14" twist might shoot the 60 gr well enough for deer hunting but I wouldn't count on it.

;) I don't have a Rossi but my Rem. have 1-14 twist..I have used the 60 nosler part. 63 grain Serria, and 64 grain WW and Speers 70..All with IMR 4350..Accuracy was excellent..Over the years probably 30 deer were taken with the 60-64 grain loads..The Speer is an odd shape, so the streamline bt bullets would not work with a rifle of this twist..
