Eurasian, Ringneck, Collared Doves all the same! Just saw my first one for this year here in Colorado. Last year in the Denver region I saw several and they do migrate out of here during the dead of winter!

The specific spieces ID would be good. Cardinals are not listed as game animals but you can't shoot them, as example. I would be sure before hunting.

How do they taste? Like regular doves? They do look like they have lot's of meat on them.

Ring necks seem to be a little chewier than mourning dove but taste the same.
I roast them for 30min then 10 nor minutes in white bbq sauce, along with mourning doves.
