Win 1200 breaks slide bridge screws?!?

I have a Ted Williams 200 (rebadged Winchester 1200) that has started to break the slide arm bridge retaining screw.  See http://www.gunpartscorp.com/catalog/Detail.aspx?pid=236660B&filter=236660B&catid=0 for detail of what I'm using.  Also see http://www.survivalprimer.com/PaulsGuns/Win1200Schematic.jpg for parts breakdown.  The customer says it was a great gun for many years but just recently broke the screw.  First time he just brought the bolt in, so I checked it out, everything looked straight and not worn, and the screw shoulder is small enough to pass through the bridge hole and not contact it that I can imagine, so I put a new screw in it and sent him home.  Later he brought the whole gun in w/ broken screw after 3 rounds.  I checked it out for anything wrong, nothing that I can see, so I put in another one and ran the action empty 10 times.  The screw was rubbing on the Disconector and backing it out.   :o  After being backed out only a little it will let the bridge fall free from the bolt carrier and put more stress on the poor little screw than it can take.  So I polished both surfaces and loc-tite'd the screw in and was able to cycle it empty over 100 times with no ill effects.   8)  After 6 test shots (3 dram 2 3/4" target) it broke again...  >:( Any thoughts?

I've seen the 1400 autos break this part and just attributed it to too much stress on too small a part. The response is to drill and tap the hole to a larger size screw. Then locate or make a hardened steel screw. This usually works.. Why it broke on the pump is a mistory.. In my experience these are fairly reliable arms..

I'm curious about your statement.  The factory screw has a stepped shank.  The bearing area is larger in diameter than the threaded portion.  The larger diameter bearing area should match the hole in the bridge and be in contact with it.  Did you use a factory replacement screw?

Well, I figured it out a while ago and am just getting to post it. 

The bridge and the slide were worn (peened) where they contact and that was allowing them to move and forcing the screw to bear too much shear pressure and break.  I got a nice used carrier and an upgraded bridge from GPC (and another new screw) and ran 50 rounds through it to be sure, customer says he’s put another 500 through it since, and is very happy.  He also said it's seen many thousands of rounds before any problems since new, so here's to many more!!

Airsporter, yes it should fit nicely (and now does) but with the original peened parts it had some movement I was afraid was supposed to be there.  I'm using all factory or new correct replacement parts.
