m1a shoots 1 1/2 @ 100 yds

got a m1a about a month ago and was in no hurry to shoot it.  shot it today and these old eyes held around 1 1/2 " at 100 yds. with peep sights. damn, been 41 years ago last shot m14. very happy with springfield.

I would take a high power scope to improve upon that. Very nice shooting.

hay cheese, had a scope laid out on bench and had planed on shopping for mount. not now!! as the old saying goes " its good enough for who's its for".

I am thinking about taking the scope off my M1A and using it in a battle rifle competion this year.
