my unusual inline
« on: January 29, 2011, 11:58:35 AM »
Built by Fred Sinclair of Sinclair arms back in the 70-80's (he built 3.) Douglas barrel 50 cal. Sakrett (now removed) in stock. Redfield sights, 2oz trigger.  50yrd groups on bench are 0.5" or a bit less using .505 ball and .015 teflon patch.  I dont have any teflon so I use 0.018 lubed ticking. Here is 5 shots from today at about 65 yards. (70g 3fg)

I am no great shot, it is the rifle. I have an underhammer slug gun .485 along w 2 round ball barrels .45, .60 coming. While I haven't shot that yet, I can't imagine it shooting better, maybe at a distance

I can't tell from the picture, what kind of action is that? Sure looks like it works well!

Whoever said "Only accurate rifles are interesting." would find your rifle very interesting...so do I. :)

ok, here is pic of breech. 2 oz trigger is tricky on this one, when loading the primer I always keep my finger between rear of trigger and guard to be safe. great rifle

That's sure a beefy action! I can't tell from the pic, does it use regular primers? I don't see a nipple. How do you clean it?
I bet the light trigger is interesting - it would hurt to smash your finger while priming it!

Looks like a "Pre-Knight" rifle design.

trigger is a jewell, not sure on the action. Maybe custom or adapted by sinclair. Prime is a 11 cap,
