oh you Bama boys-well you guys are up town compared to tha old days when I grew up.
I remember crossing tha Trinity river, when it was in flood, in a covered wagon. Well now I doan guess it's gonna get to this much lying.
But, I did grow up without running water, indoor plumbing, or electricity. This was for tha first 5 years of my life. Then we moved to town. Town, well it was so small I was born three blocks from tha courthouse and was outside tha city limits.
My grandfather had a dairy during WWII, Tha RE and A got us some electricity during tha war--It was fer tha dang cows though. I usta go down to tha barn ta watch tha lightbulbs burn.
Had some hogs too. We use to slaughter em. Et everthang we could off em, if'n we woulda had a tape-recorder we woulda recorded tha squeels fer entertainent at night.
See how I can remember them days better than this morning.
Blessings
