Too little experience with any of those to state a preference - but the 275 grain PowerBelts seem to do well in my Encore.

None of the above.  My favorite for deer is the 250 Grain Hornady XTP and for Elk the 300 Hornady XTP Mag

Chuck,

You do actually mean "favorite projectile for a .45 caliber, 1:28 twist inline," don't you?

Yes.  I am looking for bullet specific info for .45 cal 1:28/1:30 twist.  Specifically, those are the projectiles I HAVE for a .45.  From the lack of input I can only assume some the the statements below:
1. .45 shooters have NO projectile preference.
2. There really aren't that many "non-lead conical" .45 shooters out there.
3. Have too little experience with .45 to offer an opinion.
4. Others?

I was trying to "narrow down" my .45 group of projectiles to maybe three FAVORITES.  Someone MIGHT be interested in doing a Disc Elite/Omega accuracy comparison in the future.

#4 is more likely the case.  There are plenty of .45 caliber shooters out there (most of the good ones shoot Whites    ) and plenty of preferences.  I'm reading lots of posts by .45 users favoring the SSTs.

A simple poll with few choices and few results on one forum at this time of year (forums are slowing down a lot) shouldn't lead you to any assumptions - me thinks.

How about a new Thunderbolt .451 for $340 delivered?  I know of such a deal.  sssshh!

By percentage, there aren't. .50 caliber dwarfs the .45 numbers, and I'd expect it to stay that way. If you had to choose only one muzzleloader-- .50 caliber is a far better choice than a .45.

#3 here. I've never messed with a .45 prefering the .50.
