luckydawg,

lee states that no sizing is necessary with their t/l designs lubed with liquid alox...i use t/l designs whenever i can because they shoot great and save me a step.

Sooner or later you will need to know the diameter of your cylinder throats and the groove diameter. So why not slug your gun now? BTW. .427" would be a 44-40...

Bullets should be a firm thumb press through the cylinder throats. Most Ruger 44s go .433". See how your bullet fits and you'll know.

.430 works fine in most of my 44s. Some may perfer them a bit bigger but all shoot acceptably with 430s

.430 works very well in my new 44spl flattop that has .430 cylinder throats. My three older super blackhawks with .433 throats lead like crazy and can't hit the barn from the inside with .430 bullets. They shoot clean and more accurate than I can see with .433 bullets. Depends on your gun. It will tell you what it wants.

You should also determine the diameter of the throat of the barrel, hoping it is less than the diameter of the cylinder throats.
