Tried my NEF Huntsman

Bought a NEF Huntsman .50 cal muzzle loader a while back. Finally got around to trying it out and it was fun to shoot. After market fiber optic sights really helped. Shooting 80grs pyrodex with 240gr sabots. At 50 yds I was keeping them in a 4" circle which is good for me as I have not shot anything with open sights in years. I will be using it for deer hunting this fall.

Welcome aboard papadave glad you are happy. Keep working with it and playing with load . Be meticulous with loading the exact same every time and them 4" groups @50 will start touching and going in the same hole then you can get it out a little farther. Although if you are like me 75 is about the limit with open sights. But scoped the .50 will do 4" easy @100. I don't shoot my .50 as much as I do my old 70's Huntsman's but many on here do way under 4" with the newer Huntsman's and SideKicks. Again welcome and don't be afraid to chime in now and then. Kurt
