Howa LA Synthetic Stock
« on: October 28, 2010, 07:05:22 AM »
I have a howa in 300 win mag that has a boyds stock on it. It shoots great, but is a little heavy for what I want to do with it.  Do you know if anyone makes a decent synthetic stock for this gun?  I have looked, but the only ones I see are "weatherby" style and I would prefer a more classic style stock.

Well, I ordered a B&C and it was bad, back of the stock (behind action) was twisted about 10 degrees and the gun was not even close to fitting.  Just sent it back without trying to work with it.  I guess I will try a mcmillian or manners superlight, or a manners-T when I get the money together.  In the mean time, Legacy is selling the black lightning stocks for $25+ $5 shipping, so I am going to try one.  We will see if I can get it to work for a while.  Might have to sand off the "grip" and paint it.
