Fanny Pack w/shoulder straps
« on: March 10, 2011, 01:20:28 PM »
I have been looking around for a hunting fanny pack, one that has the straps that go over your shoulders. Anyone have one like that or know where I might find one?

A lively discussion on fanny packs and what works best for any of you would also be good!  ;)

I cut the mesh back out of one of my daughters old school backpacks and sewed the bottom of it to a big fanny pack.   The shoulder straps say Nike on them but it works good.  I sewed a couple of loops on the top edge to tie on my coat if I get hot.   I wore it on a muzzle loader hunt to CO last year and it makes carrying heavy items easy.   I carried a knife, saw, water, radio, flashlight, flagging tape, granola bars, gloves, compass, rope/cord and sometimes a map.  A full size backpack really gets in my way when stooping over and crawling thru the black timber.
