44 Mag on a SB1 frame
«
on:

Can I safely fit a 44 Mag barrel on a SB1 frame that started life as a 28 Ga shotgun? Is the smaller firing pin mandatory or can I safely use the larger shotgun firing pin which I presume is in this frame?
Have any of you done it?
Thanks,
Bill

Yes, you can use a 44mag barrel on an S
B
1 frame, that's the only way they come from the factory since 2008 and they'll fit 44mag accessory barrels to them.

My 44mag "shortie" is on an SB-1 frame with the larger shotgun firing pin. No problems . However I DO NOT load to maximum levels either.
Your milage may vary.
