i don t have much to say these days .. but i gotta thank you ,land owner ..it would be a scary time but thats something i could do..
im sure the doer would get much criticism by those standing around , expecting to see the traditional method and sure i didn t know what i was doing..
 but i think id do it anyway..if the person dies anyway,, im sure there would be many finger pointers an the persons family would probably blame you.. but thats a chance id have to take..

2 breaths every 30 compressions at a rate of 100 beats per min. 

If you don't know what 100 beats per minute is, it's the exact same beat as "stayin' alive." No joke, lol. 1, 2, 3, 4, Staying Alive, Staying Alive...1,2,3,4 Staying Alive, Staying Alive.

That's good to know, but just knowing the beat count doesn't complete the training.  But it's a start.

Yeah, I got recertified in Sept and the instructor mentioned the new compression only technique. But he taught the 30 comps to 2 breaths. But either way you slice it an AED machine is awesome if you have access to one.

100 beats per minute is the new training, period. It is something that people will do and it can save lives. ear

I got CPR certified last fall for  a OSHA class I was taking, and they mentioned the "new" technic, but still taught us the old technic with the compressions and breathing,  honestly didn't really make all the much sense to me seeing that the no breaths is becoming the new standard.

I had to give CPR once (unsuccessfully).  It is very unpleasant when the victim vomits!  Thank God that my wife and another rescuer were there to clean it up almost as fast as it came up. I couldn't open he airway, and neither could the park ranger that arrived or the EMT's that followed up until they used a tube.  He broke his neck when he crashed his bicycle and that interfered with the airway.

I like the idea of the new method, and always thought that the compressions moved quite a bit of air in and out anyway.
