stock and fore end question
« on: February 22, 2011, 08:32:59 AM »
I bought a choate ultra varmit stock and fore end from tjgeneralstore.com when i recieved it the forestock was broke and the butt stock was missing the spacers to adjust length. I sent them an email and got a reply to ship it back.  I responded and asked who was to pay for the shipping because I shouldn't have to pay because it was not my fault they shipped faulty equiptment.  They replied ship it back the cheapest way possible and they would reimburse me the cost.  So I shipped it back about 3 months ago and have recieved nothing back.  I've sent them email after email and get no response does anyone know how to contact them seems how I've spent over 100 bucks on the deal and have nothing to show for it.

I ordered a different stock from them year's ago and their shipping was slow and communication was zilch. I hope you get it resolved.

You should have ordered the stocks directly from Choate. I've bought a few sets from them and never had a problem.

I think buying somewhere else is probably going to be my only answer.  I couldn't believe what they shipped me it looked like it was run over several times in the warehouse.  Although not a scratch on the package so I know it had to have been shipped that way.  Looks like I'm just out the hundred bucks.  Oh well who needs and extra hundred bucks anyways huh...lol    Note to self never by from tj general store again.

Good call on the credit card I'll check and see if I can find the records.  I'll get in touch with the bank.  Needless to say it was for my wife's gun and she is quite upset about it.  She has informed me that I am to have no more toys until i get a new stock for her gun.  I just wish I could sic her on em it would be resolved faster that you could say "BANG FLOP"

I had a VERY satisfactory outcome with my VISA provider a few years back on a deal gone bad.
