« on: February 23, 2011, 12:40:03 PM »
Well thinking or getting one in 20 guage  but wanted to know what everyones thoughts are. Was thinking the 20 would have less kick but after seeing how heavy the 12 gun is I dont know. Any info would be great

I like the 20ga for a couple reasons. It will kill deer just as dead as a 12ga, They have less recoil, and are extremely accurate. Not that 12ga's aren't accurate. I have a Tracker II 20ga that with Lightfields  I shot three shots into 2 holes touching at 75 yards and my sons 20ga USH is a close 2nd to that with buck hammers.

I'm a 12 ga. guy,but I must say there are some advantages to the 20ga. with the great slugs on the market today.

Either one will work well for deer...They are thin skinned animals.  There are plenty of 20GA sabot slug loads out there for your shooting pleasure.
