I still say that H&R should make rifles in the standard caliber barrel blanks and unchambered, then just cut the chamber to order, or sell them unchambered. I cannot see how they could lose, just sell the unit for about what the cheapest handi now sells for, without the expense and labor of chambering. How many here would order a new $200 handi , pallet stock, bull barrel, or whatever the stock profile of the barrel blanks come so they dont have to contour it, drilled and tapped,no chamber, no sights ? Ill bet a bunch. I would be hyperventilating trying to decide between 4 or 5 possibilities.
