Is there a 35 whelen recal

Was in my local Dicks store and they received a letter stating that there were some problems with the caliber. Anyone have any info?

If you look back a few pages of threads ... you will find the topic with the number to check on your gun box and serial number lot to see if the one you have is one of the guns having the problem. I do believe the factory has a fix for the ones that are effected. 35 Remington and whelen were effected it is my understanding.  Some work fine from what I have read here, but some have FTF problems. Tim may have even put it in the stickies, but it is listed here.
Unless there is a different issue I haven't read about here yet.

I have one that I shot 20 rounds through without any problems (all reloads)  The next year I took it to the range to make certain that the scope was still on and I had 3 FTF in 6 rounds (same ammo).  I called Remington and they sent me a shipping label to send the rifle back to them.  They had it for about 5 weeks but there was a list of parts on the invoice that they replaced.  I have not had the chance to run it through the paces yet but I assume that they took care of the problem.  I have to say that the rifle came back to me in the same condition that I sent it out  ;D.  I was concerned about that.  Fortunately, I had something else to use during Black bear season.
