HELP PLEASE, HOW OLD?
« on: February 24, 2011, 03:24:32 AM »
I know this might seem lame, but maybe someone could help with  an idea how old this might be, they could not get me the serial number.  Thanks for any help, Jim

Jim, I'd check the FAQs.  I believe somewhere in there is the year manufacturers had to start putting serial numbers on firearms.  If it is unmarked, it has to be before that.  I can't add any more, but it is a sweet looking little rifle.

It's hard to tell, but it appears to have a case colored frame and high hammer spur, so that would make it a mid to late 80's Topper 158 more than likely, specially if it has the thinner barrel contour which it look like it does.

I don't know what it'd be worth but it's a nice rifle and I'd like to own it. :D
