VERY nice, from another guy in his 'right mind'.  Is that a GSI stock?  Kool how you did the forend with the Mauser bbl band.  Looks like the .280 has a 26" bbl?

Yes thats  GSI. I think Im going to get another of them. next im going to try a mosin nagant barrel band with the retaining clip. The 280 with the longer barrel looks sweet.

  Finally a gun stock for the proper side!!!  Did you get a but-stock blank an start from scratch? Or buy a finished stock an inlay the cheek piece?

it was at gsi in the odds and ends and the last one they had, but you just gave me a great idea on the overlay,. I may have some more left handed soon then. very good idea. I was also thinking about casting some in aluminum.

thanks,I ordered another mauser band and also im going to have a knife maker I know make a damascus band from a blade I have. maybe a nickle one too.
