I am interested in getting a 45 colt lever action for hunting / plinking.

I am interested in getting a lever action Rifle in .45 colt for hunting / plinking.

I have a Ruger Blackhawk and would like shoot the same +P or Ruger only loads out of my Lever.

What lever action rifle manufacturer and model do you recommend.

I love the way my Rossi model 92 feels and shoots and it can shoot +Ps with no problem.

FWIW, any Model 92, albeit a Rossi/Browning/Miroku/Winchester, is a short-action, designed for pistol-length cartridges like the .45 Colt - which the longer .45 Colt chambered arms, like the Winchester 94's are not.
Some are just more finely finished than others ($$$$)

The Marlin 1894's are easier to takedown/clean, though, & easily scopable  - but not as sleek as M92's, IMHO.

I have owned 2 levers in 45 colt, one was an older Rossi imported by Interarms, the one I have now is also a Rossi imported by EMF, I like the 92 style for the reason that Ranger44 said, it's designed for the pistol-length cartridge.  No matter what make of a 92 you buy in 45 colt, they will handle anything your Blackhawk will.  Can't really recommend any certain 92 because it depends on how much $$, get the prettiest one you can afford.  92's have a classic look to them that I really like.

I have two rossi m-92 one in 44mag. and another  in 454 casull and like both very much they are fun and easy to hunt with. Most all of mine are marlins and do perfer marlin over all, but these two will be here a long time.

454, why won't your 94 take a top ruger load ??  Top Ruger loads are 30,000 cups and less, the 94 winchester can handle that with ease.  The 94 would easily be safe at 40,000 cups, after all the 44mag is loaded to 40,000 cups(and the 357 is more than that) and fired from the same gun.  The 45 colt loads I shoot out of my 94 trapper are a bit above top Ruger loads and it seems to perform better at those pressures.  So don't rule out the 94 for Ruger loads.  Perhaps you had some problems with your 94 but its not because the gun wasn't designed to take a load of less than 30,000 cups, it'll do way better.
