7.62x39 bore size

Has anyone slugged their newer synthetic 7.62x39?  What did you come up with?  Was checking out one at the local shop and was thinking of picking it up.

I do not have a new synthetic, however my 5 year old wood stock 7.62X39 slugged out @ .308.... yes .308 as opposed to .312 typical of European rifles chambered for the 7.62 X 39.  In a previous post I asked the same question but had not gotten any responses hope you fare better.

.308 is what I was hoping for, it will be easier to find bullets for.  Can anyone confirm the .308 for the synthetic model?
I think I will pick it up anyway as I still have a few hundred Hornady V-Max .310 from loading for the SKS.  Anyone tried these bullets in the .308 Rossi barrel?

I picked up the 7.62x39 and I'm looking forward to working up some loads for it.  It does slug out to .308.  What bullets have you folks had luck with?  Was thinking of the Hornady Vmax 110gr .308 and berrys plated 110gr .308(for some light Trail boss loads) to start with.  Might try some Hornady SJ (short jacket) in .308 as well, haven't decided.

I have plenty of brass, Primers, Accurate 1680, and IMR Trail Boss powder to play with.  Plus my Lee dies came with a .308 sizer for 7.62x39.

Is there any other tips or tricks you folks can share?

As a side note,  the 7.62x39 barrel fits perfectly onto my 22/12ga frame and vise versa.
