Topper Buck Model 162

I just picked up a Topper Buck model  162   12ga. Don't know
if it is all original or not but I didn't care. I think it is a
1974 with an SN. of  AN 21**** I dought if it a 1940 or a 1999
The price tag was $79.00 I felt that I couldn't go wrong. It all feels tight
no gap between frame and barrel. Shoots great. Any comments
on this Model 162. Lets hear them. Would it be safe to put a 357 barrel on it

Ive got a 'Buck' 12ga. barrel on my old birdgun frame. It is a visious kicking beast with factory Foster type loads, but plenty accurate for 50-60yd deer. It also shoots birdshot above the sights about right at 25-30 so I think it is usable as a combination barrel.
I wouldnt have any reservations about a 357 or 44Mag, in fact the old Shikari 44M was basically the same frame IIRC (had one and should have kept it),
