Armscore Precision .22LR ammo ??
« on: January 23, 2004, 10:17:56 AM »
my friend gave me two boxes of Armscore Precision .22LR ammo made in the Philippines.. he said its good for my olympia and my Brno.. i shot a clip with my olympia.. the velocity was moderate but the slide did not go back all the way.. like the round did not have enough power to blow the slide all the way back.. thats for my first 4 shots.. then it was ok.. has anyone used this kind of ammo i still did not use it for hunting and i am afraid it would not go well for my .22s in the long run using this ammo.. any thoughts??

I'm sure it's just fine.  It looks like their standard velocity runs at/about 1089 ft./sec.  Maybe it a marginal round in your gun...perhaps that's why you're having a problem.

Regardless, if you run into a squib or your worried about it...get rid of the ammo.  It's not worth worrying about...right?

the accuarcy is acceptable in my opinion.. the problem is over  all i did was just add a little oil and grease to the slide   ... but are you sure the velocity is 1089  :? .. i thought it was less.. i did not trust it at first when it didnt blow the slide back. :-) and becouse of the origin.. i only use CCI stingers , ELEY High Velocity , Fedral Classic and Gold Medal.
i realy wanted to try CCI Minimags but i could not find any in Saudi   .. Thanks for your reply Chris   you are a saint :D

Here's where I picked-up on the Armscor .22 velocity...I assume it's accurate.
