If that was mine. While I was waiting for a new string, I'd get me some good leather and cover the handle, then glue on a new arrow pass with the same leather. When the string came I'd get that old bow strung up, then let it sit for a day or so, that way it gives the wood time enough to bend that one way again. Then I'd start to flex the bow again by bringing it only to about hafe draw, let it sit for awhile, then flex it again maybe a little farther. I would just keep doin this until I was able to reach near about full draw, which for this bow may be 26 inches. Some of these old bows where made for shorter draws mostly intended for youths, thats why the 25#. My guess is your bow is one of 500 made at that time, and is 25# pull. scout4<><
