Ok newbiw G1 frame question
« on: March 15, 2011, 07:44:19 AM »
Sorry if this is a very basic question (i'll prolly have more so bear with me) I have the G1 frame and just how do you switch it from centerfire to rimfire? I know you have to turn the striker located on the hammer BUT do you just use the screw located on the back of the hammer?  :o

Yep, just turn it clockwise and you'll see that the insert in the front of the hammer moves to engage the "other" firing pin.  Top is rimfire I believe.  There are spring loaded detent balls that will help you feel when it is the proper position for each.

PS.  Never turn it counter clockwise (as referenced from the back) or you could back out the screw and accidently lose tiny parts.
Lord, please help me to be half the man my dogs think I am.
